Movie Ticketing App

My Role

As a UX designer for this project I conducted interviews, paper and digital wire framing, low and high fidelity prototyping, lead usability studies, accounting for accessibility and iterating on designs.

Project Goal

Design an app to help people buy movie tickets hassle-free

Target Audience

The target audience are from 17-65 years old movie goers who wants to be able to book tickets to skip and avoid waiting in line.

Key Challenges

The users identified through research that they usually doesn’t have a time to queue and wants to utilize their time. It was also revealed other user challenges include obligations that make it hard to wait in long lines just for a movie ticket.

Initial Design Concepts

Took the time to draw each screens of the app on paper and ensured the elements that made it to digital wireframes will be fitting to address user pain points. I made sure to add the movie rating, genre and reviews so users would be able to know the basic info while scrolling through home page. With this structure, users will be able to book quick and easy.

Digital Wireframes and Low-Fidelity Prototype

Using the completed set of digital wireframes, I created a low-fidelity prototype. The primary user flow I connected was browsing, booking and paying for movie tickets, so the protoype could be used in a usability study.
